No. 1 – Harvick Is A Closer (2014)

Of the five wins Harvick collected in his winning campaign in 2014, this one was crucial. The only way he had to make sure he would be part of the championship race at Homestead was to win and he simply did it. He had fallen back in the Chase standings following a 33rd place finish at Martinsville where Matt Kenseth had sent him into the wall, but with a dominant performance at his best track he secured a spot in the season finale.

Another highlight of the day was Newman being able to clinch a spot in the final-four at the last corner. This way he obtained the exact position he needed to be able to still have a chance to win the championship even with no wins during the season.
