HOT – AJ Allmendinger and Martin Truex Jr.

There weren’t too many fans singing the praises of Trux Jr. or Allmendinger before the 2015 season began. Three races into the season and both drivers find themselves in the top-five in the point standings and off to terrific starts.

Truex Jr. has finished inside of the top-10 in every race that he has run in 2015 and the includes the Sprint Unlimited and Budweiser Duels. Some listed Truex Jr. as a potential sleeper this season but nobody thought that he would truly be a contender. If Truex Jr. continues to run like this he will contend for a title because all bets are off once you make the chase.

In 2014 Allmendinger made the chase thanks to his road course victory. In 2015 it would seem that Allmendinger wants to return to the chase and if he keeps running up front he just might get there.
