Honorable Mention – “Nascar”
One of the most common mistakes with NASCAR tattoos is that you will see it spelled as “Nascar” like in the tattoo above. Now, in the majority of these tattoos it’s not actually a mistake because that is how the person getting the tattoo wishes for the word to look. However, just because you want something to look a certain way it doesn’t mean that it’s right.
NASCAR isn’t a word, it’s an acronym. Seeing as how each letter in NASCAR stands for something it’s only proper that each letter be capitalized. “Nascar” isn’t a word or an acronym which makes it quite confusing as to why so many people choose to have it displayed that way on their bodies.
Many people will view this not being important but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s true. It would be like someone getting a Jamie McMurray tattoo and spelling his last name “Mcmurray.” Sure all of the letters are there in the correct order but that doesn’t make it right.
