No.1 Ricky Craven wins his first Winston Cup race in dramatic fashion (2001).

Ricky Craven won just two Winston Cup races in his entire career, but they were no doubt the product of great driving and talent. The first of the two came at Martinsville in 2001. He got into the lead thanks to a two-tire change on the previous stop but Dale Jarrett who had taken four, caught him with two laps to go. In those final two laps Craven gave all he had to keep the lead on those old tires and eventually managed to win in a classic beatin’ and bangin’ Martinsville style.
