NASCAR: Previewing The 2015 Free Agent Class

No. 11 Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin is coming off of a 2014 season where he made the Final Four in the new chase format and had a chance to win a championship in Homestead-Miami. Although Hamlin came up short he proved in Martinsville that he will be looking to make another run at a title after he won his first race of the season. After a disappointing 2013 Hamlin hit his stride at the end of 2014 and appears to be keeping it up in 2015.
This season is going to be an interesting year for Joe Gibbs Racing as they welcome in the fourth car of Carl Edwards. JGR without question has the funds to run four cars but Hamlin and his contract will be the chance for them to drop down to three cars again if that is the direction in which they want to go when the season comes to a close.
Prediction: Denny Hamlin will not be going anywhere. Hamlin is a steady driver and JGR will be looking to rival HMS now that they have grown to a four-car team. Hamlin fits with JGR and there is no reason for them to not bring him back on another three-year extension.
