No. 13 Casey Mears

Casey Mears is part of a single-driver team. While Mears didn’t exactly light the world on fire in 2014, he is off to a great start in 2015. Through six races Mears is inside of the top-15 in points and has four top-20 finishes on the season including three top-15 finishes. Mears is finding some consistency this season which is something that plagued him last season.

It’s hard to predict that Mears would not be extended to come back to his team in 2016. When it comes to these smaller operations you tend to find more loyalty. It also helps that Mears was in 2014 and has been better thus far in 2015. What the fate of Mears might come down too is whether or not Geico comes back to the team after 2015. Geico is currently signed on through the end of the 2015 season.

Prediction: Casey Mears will be back in the No. 13 car beyond 2015.
