Tony Stewart

After six races Tony Stewart is 32nd in the point standings, someplace that few people thought he would be.

Through the first four races of 2015 Stewart’s best finish was 30th. Since that point he has rebounded a bit with a 14th-place finish in the Auto Club 400 and a 20th-place finish in the STP 500. If Stewart and the N0. 14 team are going to crawl out the hole that they are currently in they are going to have to continue having top-20 finishes. Having a car that can consistently run in the top-20 with a driver as talented as Stewart will eventually lead to top-five finishes and possibly wins.

The other frustrating thing for Stewart has to be how the rest of his team is doing. Kevin Harvick opened the season with five consecutive top-two finishes before having a top-10 finish in Martinsville. Danica Patrick currently sits 16th in the standings and would be in the chase if it started today and Kurt Busch is eight spots ahead of Stewart in the standings despite the fact that he missed races this season due to his suspension.
