No.5 Dale Jarrett prevails after a six-car battle in the closing laps (2000).

After the last restart with 19 laps to go a four-car group formed at the lead of the pack with Johnny Benson as the leader. Benson had taken a gamble on the last pit stop and had changed no tires. However, the drivers behind him could not pass him and this gave Dale Jarrett who sat in fifth place the opportunity to catch the lead group back and get by all the other drivers until he got to Benson. Jarrett passed Benson with six laps to go and pulled away, not allowing Steve Park to catch him again.
