Take Four: Will we have another new winner?

Through six races there have been five different winners: Joey Logano, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin. This isn’t quite the pace that was set in 2014 but if this pace maintains there is a chance we could see 16 or 17 winners this season.

Entering Texas drivers like Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will still be looking for their first wins of the season. There are also drivers like Kasey Kahne, Paul Menard and Martin Truex Jr. who have been near the front a lot in the first six races and could easily win if they continue to run that way.

Seeing 16 or more drivers win in the first 26 races isn’t a sure thing. In fact, the odds are more against it than they are for it. That being said, each new race winner in 2015 will take us one step closer.
