NOT – Kyle Larson

Larson currently finds himself in somewhat of a Sophomore slump.

After running 34th and 26th to open the season Larson bounced back with consecutive top-10 finishes. Larson then ran 26th in Fontana before missing the Martinsville race and running 25th last weekend in Texas. Laron’s 26th in Texas was mostly due to his pit road penalty on the final pit stop but it is what it is.

The season is still plenty young but Larson and the No. 42 team need to kick it into gear sooner rather than later. Many predicted multiple wins and a chase berth for this team in 2015. Entering the eighth race of the season Larson is on average finishing 21st and he is currently 26th in the point standings. The good news for Larson is that his average finish at Bristol is 11th (in two starts) so his fans have reason to hope that he can start to turn things around on Sunday.
