NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Bristol

HOT – Danica Patrick

Seven races into 2015 and things are looking good for Patrick and the No. 10 team.

Thus far Patrick’s average starting position on the season is 19th and her average finishing position is 18th, both are the highest of her career. Both of those numbers are also the highest that she has ever had through seven races of a season. Patrick is coming off of a 16th-place finish at texas which marks her third consecutive top-20 finish. In seven races this season her worst finish 27th.

Bristol will be a challenge for Patrick and her team on Sunday. In five Bristol starts Patrick is averaging a finish of 25.6. If Patrick wants to find another top-20 finish on Sunday she is going to need to keep her nose clean and her temper in check. In past weeks Patrick has been heard getting hot under the collar over the radio, Bristol is not the place for short tempers.

If Patrick can avoid trouble on Sunday she might being home her best career Bristol finish.
