No. 3 Jimmie Johnson wins a thrilling battle against Tony Stewart (2008).

In a race that was held on Sunday afternoon instead of Saturday night because of the effects of Hurricane Hanna, Jimmie Johnson was in the lead with ten laps to go. Tony Stewart was closing fast though and seemed to have a faster car. When he caught Johnson a tough battle began for the win. Stewart kept working on the inside of Johnson but the Californian always edged him on the outside thanks to the higher speed he could carry through the corner on the higher lane. The battle continued for a few laps and Stewart soon destroyed his tires letting Johnson cruise to victory.
