NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Richmond

Danica Patrick had another top-10 last weekend in Bristol. It’s her second top-10 finish in the last three races and her fourth consecutive finish of 19th or better. Her strong run at Bristol not only clinched the record for the most top-10 finishes ever by a female in NASCAR but it also moved her up 13th in the point standings.

Patrick will have another challenge ahead of here this weekend in Richmond if she wants to keep her hot streak alive. In four previous starts at Richmond, Patrick has only finished on the lead lap once. Her average finishing position in those four races is 27th.

Through eight races in 2015 Patrick’s average finishing position is 17th. Patrick will also need to avoid trouble in Richmond if she is going to have a good night. In Bristol she was in a couple of spins but still managed a good finish. This is something that she isn’t going to be accomplish every week.
