Better Week – Jamie McMurray, Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson

All three of these drivers have one thing in common coming out of Richmond; they passed a lot of cars on the track.

Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne did not qualify well on Friday. Johnson had to start the race in 36th while Kahne took the green flag in 40th. Making matters worse was Danica Patrick’s near spin early in the race which put even more space between the front half of the pack and the back half. None of that deterred Johnson and Kahne though as they both drove through the field on their way to finishes inside of the top-10.

McMurray started the race better than Johnson and Kahne but he had some issues early that resulted in him restarting back around the 30th position. McMurray like the Hendrick cars found his way back to the front for a solid finish.

All three of these drivers took potentially bad situations and turned them into great finishes.
