Worse Week – Denny Hamlin

Hamlin looked great on Friday which led many to believe that that he might contend to win his second race of the season in Richmond.

Friday in practice Hamlin was fast, he showed some nice speed in qualifying as well. Friday night Hamlin went out and dominated the Xfinity Series race, leading almost every lap. Everything seemed to be lining up for Hamlin except for the weather.

Mother Nature forced the race to be held Sunday afternoon as opposed to Saturday night. The change from a night race to a race during the day threw a few teams for a loop. Hamlin and the No. 11 team were one of those teams. Hamlin fell back quickly at the start of the race and he never really recovered on his way to a 22nd-place finish.
