HOT – Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick has nine top-10 finishes in 10 races in 2015. His only finish outside of the top-10 came when he wrecked while leading the race. To say that Harvick has been dominant in 2015 would be an understatement.

The other impressive thing about Harvick is that he is having those top-10 finishes even when he doesn’t have the best of cars out there on the track. In the majority of the races in 2015 Harvick has had one of the fastest cars. However, in Martinsville and Talladega Harvick really didn’t have a car to write home about. In both of those races he still finished inside of the top-10.

That’s important because it shows the consistency that the No. 4 team has right now. Even on weeks where they aren’t hitting it on the head they are still close enough to run in the top-10. It’s that consistency that is lacking from a team like that of Kasey Kahne over at Team Hendrick. When the No. 5 team hits it on the head they can easily run in the top-five, when they don’t it’s top-20.

That simply isn’t the case with Harvick.

When the No. 4 team is on the ball it’s possibly a win. When they are off of the mark it’s a top-10 with the chance of Harvick driving the wheels off of it and turning it into a top-five or a win.
