7. Mason Mitchell

Being the 2014 ARCA Racing Series champion its hard not to put Mason Mitchell much higher on my list. He just has not gotten the opportunity he deserves in the K&N or Camping World Truck Series. The unique thing about Mason is that he also owns his own ARCA racing team. Right now young standout Austin Wayne Self drives the car Mason won his championship last season. So as well as competing part time in the ARCA Racing Series this year, Mitchell is also a team owner and even a crew chief at times, such as last week at Chicagoland.

Being so versatile is what is so intriguing about Mitchell and the fact that he has the organization to field a team and as well as drive makes him that much more special.

Mitchell made his K&N Pro Series East debut at Bowman Gray Stadium this season finishing eighth, and my sources tell me that you may see him in the series some more this season. Mitchell definitely deserves a shot, but regardless its been fun to watch him manage and compete in a competitive race team this season.
