Is the grass always greener on the other side? When it comes to NASCAR drivers, it depends on who you ask. While some drivers have switched teams only to fall into obscurity and fail to be competitive, other drivers have switched teams and went onto earn wins and championships.

In this article we will take a look at five drivers who switched teams and found great success on the other side. Often times fans believe that when a driver is struggling it’s just the fault of the driver and that might not be the case. Sometimes it’s the driver and other times it’s the team that driver is driving for.

NASCAR like most sports is all about finding the right fit. A driver and a team want to win more than anything else but sometimes other dynamics come into play. In each of the situations where drivers in this article switched teams there were different dynamics at work. When a team and a driver pairing isn’t working it, it’s not also clear cut who is at fault. Sometimes in these situations nobody is at fault and it’s just a bad pairing.
