Don’t mess with Jeff Gordon during Chase time. That’s a lesson Jeff Burton learned the hard way at Texas as he bumped Gordon hard into the wall during a yellow flag situation. Gordon got out of his car and was then checked by medical crews briefly, before heading over to talk to Burton about the incident.

No talking occurred however, as Gordon lunged at Burton, and pushed him into the outside wall. Burton tried to get away, but Gordon trapped Burton in a headlock and landed a few punches before it was finally broken up by safety crews. Gordon continued to yell in Burton’s face before both drivers were walked to the ambulance.

The two then shared an ambulance ride to the infield car center, which is was probably a wild ride for the safety crew member that was in there with them.
