The Bump N Run aint fun if Your Jeff Gordon.

Karma has a way of getting you. Even if it’s just seconds after you got someone else. Jeff Gordon learned this lesson when he tried to pass Matt Kenseth in the 2003 Food City 400. Gordon stuck his nose into the rear of Kenseth’s car and was able to maneuver him out of the way for the time being.

Unfortunately for The Rainbow warrior, the favor was returned swiftly, as Kenseth went for a bump and run of his own on the veteran. The bump sent Gordon swiftly up the track and almost in to the fence, while Kenseth scooted by on the inside of track to finish fourth.

While Kenseth did take the points lead after the race, he also got a hard shove from Gordon, who was not very happy about what had transpired on the track. The incident spilled into the post-race interviews, as Gordon talked about how he never wrecked Kenseth when he bumped him earlier and expected the same thing from Kenseth in return. Kenseth echoed that statement telling the press that Gordon had every right to be mad about what happened and that he probably should have given him more time to calm down before going to talk to Gordon. In the end, it wasn’t Gordon’s most vicious fight during his Sprint Cup Career, but it definitely shows that Gordon’s temper can flare when drivers race him in a way he doesn’t like.

Especially if you end up wrecking him in the process. Gordon demands respect as a veteran of the sport, and he should have just that!
