Out of Nowhere.

Jeff Gordon was well on his way to a win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2001, unfortunately for The Rainbow warrior, he still had a challenger to deal with in the closing laps of the race. That challenger was, Robby Gordon.

A tough and aggressive journeyman who would do anything to capture the win, even if it meant punting his opponent out of the way. Well, that’s exactly what he did and boy was Jeff Gordon mad afterwards. Gordon even showed his displeasure for the wreck by bumping Gordon several times during the caution flag, ultimately resulting in Gordon getting black flagged and called to The NASCAR hauler. The incident also put Gordon in a huge hole in points wise.

Something he would need to rectify to get back into contention for the title that year.
