NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver’s Seasons Described By Song Titles

Jeff Gordon. I aint as good as I once was.

Not to knock the former four time Champion and living legend of our sport, but he has definitely missed a few beats this season. He used to be hell on wheels back when he was a younger man. Maybe his body is telling him you can’t do this boy, but I’m sure his pride is saying yes you can. Hopefully his pride is right and Gordon is able to win one final race in his final season in The Sprint Cup Series. In the meantime, the Rainbow Warrior sits tenth in the point standings, with two Top-five’s and Ten Top-ten’s. While these credentials certainly make Gordon a likely candidate to make The Chase, a win would prove that the old man’s still got it. Or at least that he’s as good once as he ever was.
