“Why does Ponytail talk so much about himself? Is he a legend in sport?”

In this instance “Ponytail” is Kyle Petty and no, he is not a legend in the sport.

During a lot of the pre-race, in-race and post-race commentary segments Adam seemed to be more focused on how the analysts carried themselves as opposed to their analysis. This makes sense in that a lot of the breakdown they were giving he probably didn’t really understand.

He felt that Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte came across as “professional” and “intelligent” although he admits that he cannot vouch for their NASCAR intellect since he himself doesn’t have much. The one thing he continuously became caught up on though was Petty.

"Ponytail must be a big shot because he is more interested in talking about himself instead of what the others are trying to talk about."

I personally have never cared for Petty on the broadcast but I always thought that was just me. It’s interesting to see someone from the outside also feel that Petty might be a bit to self-involved as well.
