NASCAR: Predicting The Final-Four In Homestead-Miami
Carl Edwards
Edwards has made a huge turnaround in performance in 2015, his first year with Joe Gibbs Racing. The beginning of the year saw nothing but crashes, breakages, and just slow Toyota’s. He was fortunate enough to earn a top-10 (10th) at Texas in the season’s seventh race. However, a strategy call netted him a win at Charlotte in the Coca-Cola 600.
In the latter half of the summer, though, the No. 19 team came alive and began running strongly, earning poles at Loudon and Indy. The top-10s started piling up, and he’s also started running as strongly as he did during his tenure with Roush-Fenway. A second win of the season at Darlington in the Southern 500 solidified Edwards as a huge Chase presence.
If he could just manage to keep his consistency going all the way to the season finale he may very well find atonement for his 2008 and 2011 runner-up points finishes.
