1. 2011 Ford 400

Let the 2011 Ford 400 go to show how strong Stewart’s drive was. He started 15th, made 128 passes, suffered a setback when debris punched a hole in his front end, yet when all was said and done he won his third championship in a tiebreaker over Carl Edwards.

All of 2011, Stewart didn’t seem to be performing up to par, but when the Chase rolled around he won five of the 10 races of the Chase, including the season-finale at Homestead. He would lead 65 laps while Edwards would lead 119, and while Edwards won the pole for the event it was Stewart who drove through the adversity to triumph in the closest championship race in Sprint Cup history.
