14. Atlanta, September 2014

Without a doubt, Stewart’s return to Atlanta one year ago following the tragic accident that took the life of Sprint Car driver Kevin Ward Jr. was huge. Stewart, who missed three races to out of respect for Ward as well as to cope, returned to a roaring crowd and cheers from the fans.

His race started off strong, at least until he was planted into the wall by Kyle Busch. The damage was enough to cut his tire and send him into the wall, ending his day. Still, the fact that he even returned after such a tragic accident showed the kind of strength Stewart is known for and will forever be remembered for.
