NASCAR Power Rankings: The Hollywood Casino 400 From Kansas

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Each week, BeyondTheFlag.com will bring you the NASCAR Power Rankings heading into the upcoming event on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Schedule. The results will be derived from both season-to-date performance as well as the finish order from the most recent event. Be sure to check back each week to see if your favorite driver made the list, and to let us know if you agree or disagree!

After a rain-delayed Bank of America 500 from Charlotte, the next stop in the critical Contender round of the Chase will come at Kansas Speedway this week. Kansas is a very Hendrick Motorsports-friendly track, as Jimmie Johnson won back in May, and both he and teammate Jeff Gordon are tied at three for the most wins here. Kansas is also a track where qualifying well is important, as 12 of the previous 19 races here have been won from a top-10 starting position.
