Matt Kenseth

Matt Kenseth is in major trouble going into Talladega after his issues in the past two weeks but he does have a win there (2012).

The story of his season has been his ability to win in critical moments when everything is on the line. A few of his earlier wins at Bristol and Pocono came out of some great late-race help which he capitalized on. During the last race of the year at Richmond, he needed a strong ending to carry momentum into the Chase, and he won. His win at New Hampshire in the Chase got him to the next round.

Overall, he has been clutch when he has needed to be. If it wasn’t due to a small nudge from Joey Logano at Kansas, he would’ve done it again. Though the odds will definitely be favored against him at Talladega, he has had a good enough season to show that he is up to any challenge that comes his way.
