Martinsville got off to a great start for the No. 24 team.

After talking pre-race about how they were unsure of how the car would run early, Gordon was fast in the early going of the race. Gordon took no time at all moving up towards the front of the field before eventually taking the lead. For Gordon fans, seeing Gordon in the lead in 2015 at a non restrictor-plate track has been a sight that hasn’t happened as much as they would have hoped.
