Kyle Petty

If you thought his driver abilities were bad, you soon found out that his commentating abilities were far worse. Yes, the man is very informative, there’s no way around that fact. However the air of cockiness that proceeds him throughout a broadcast is almost too much to bare. When he’s not interrupting other analyst’s commentary in the booth, he’s stating his opinion in the most arrogant and annoying way possible.

I respect the heck out of the things he did as a driver and the fact that he is in the position he is in and has the job that he has. However, not all jobs go to heroes, sometimes they go to villains.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s improved since making the transition from TNT to NBCSN, even easing up on his arrogant ways quite a bit, but there are still those small moments where the old Kyle rears its ugly head and reminds us why we don’t like him very much. This is why Petty is a villain if you ask me.
