Honorable Mention – Regan Smith (Daytona)

How bad is it when the wreck just outside of the top-five involves a car flipping over on the track?

It was “The Big One” in the Xfinity Series race at Daytona and it was a wild ride for Regan Smith in the No. 7 machine. NASCAR has done a lot to make sure that these cars stay on the ground but sometimes they are hit in just the right way and into the air they go.

The good news here for Smith (aside from not being injured) was that the car did not go into a barrel roll. After the initial flip it got back onto the track and remained there. As you go through this ranking you will notice that Daytona seems to be a theme when it comes to bad wrecks. Smith will hopefully fare better the next time he runs a spring race at Daytona.
