NASCAR: The Five Worst Wrecks Of 2015
N0. 2 – Austin Theriault (Las Vegas)
This wreck is No. 2 on the list for a reason, it was a scary hit.
Theriault hit the wall in Turn 4 after where the SAFER barrier stops. This once again begs the question of why the heck is there any portion of the track where the SAFER barrier stops?
The wreck itself unfolded quickly when Tyler Reddick got loose and clipped his teammate Theriault. The result was Theriault being turned hard into the exposed portion of the wall in Turn 4. Theriualt had to be taken to a local medical facility after the wreck. Although it wasn’t Reddick’s fault, it must have been a terrible feeling as he hooked his teammate into the wall for a hit that hard.
