No. 1 Austin Dillon (Daytona)

Hands down this was the worst wreck of the 2015 NASCAR season. Heck, this might be one of the worst wrecks in the history of NASCAR. The fact that Austin Dillon was able to walk away from his No. 3 car is nothing short of amazing.

The part of the track where Dillon was running (the tri-oval) is one of the fastest parts of the track at Daytona. As the field was coming to the finish line those cars were travel at speeds near 200 MPH when Dillon’s car went into the air. Once the No. 3 machine got into the catchfence it literally came to a complete stop before being thrown back onto the track.

Then, as if all of that wasn’t enough, Brad Keselowski ran into what was left of the No. 3 machine.

The wreck also provided NASCAR with one of its more touching moments of the 2015 season. Seeing all of those crew members run to Dillon’s car was a special moment. Granted, watching it love you’re thinking the worst but after the fact it’s easier to appreciate how truly special that was to witness.
