ESPN’s RPM 2Night

Something that current auto racing fans are missing out on is a television show which is dedicated solely to auto racing, not just NASCAR. For many years, ESPN 2’s RPM 2Night was the broadcast where race fans could keep up on the latest news from all forms of racing.

Unlike other racing news shows at the time such as Speed Week on ESPN and Race Day on TNN, RPM 2Night was a daily show. It began airing in late 1995 and continued to until late 2003 when it was cancelled. The show was hosted by John Kernan and covered everything in the world of motorsport including NASCAR, Formula 1, CART and the IRL series.

Some of the most memorable moments from RPM 2Night were provided by open wheel journalist, Robin Miller. While he is recognized today for his opinions and commentary on television, Miller was not known as widely outside of IndyCar circles until he was featured on RPM 2Night.
