The Future Arrives

Whether fans want to admit it or not, Joey Logano is a future star of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

The young Penske Racing driver proved as much by holding off a late surge from Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick in the closing laps of the Great American Race to capture his very first Daytona 500 victory. The win also puts him in the same category as NASCAR greats like Dale Earnhardt, who won the 500 in 1998, Kevin Harvick, who won in 2007 and Ryan Newman, who won the 500 in 2006.

Furthermore, this was the second Daytona 500 championship for Penske Racing.
