NASCAR: Which Tracks Will Be SAFER In 2016?

Richmond
Changes Made: Additional SAFER barriers were installed on the back straightaway in 2011, and now an additional 900 feet has been installed along the inside of the back straightaway as well.
Comment: Richmond enjoys the spotlight each year by virtue of it’s designation as the “last chance” to make the Chase. It behooves this facility to stay ahead of safety refinements. Track President Doug Fritz added:
"“The safety of all who attend our events, including the drivers, is important at Richmond International Raceway. We will always be reviewing our facility and continue to look at ways to improve on the experience of our fans and the drivers.”"
