Changes Made: Additional SAFER barriers were added to the inside wall entrance to pit road, Turn 1 and Turn 3.  Every exterior and interior wall is now covered.  Over 8000 linear feet have been added in 2015.

Comment: Track President Grant Lynch said in a press release following the additions:

"“Safety of our competitors and fans is our top priority, and we will continue to review the facility and provide updates as circumstances warrant.”"

There is only so much you can do to minimize the inherent danger at a restrictor-plate track.  Accidents are going to happen, and they’re quite often going to happen in a big way.  It would seem that the track has done everything in it’s power to minimize the risk from the inevitable.
