Changes Made: The track has over 5000 feet of walls protected by SAFER barriers in all three turns and the inside walls of the back straightaway,  but has not made any enhancements due to the Busch accident.

Comment: There is absolutely NO reason for NASCAR to be anywhere near this facility.

None.

This place is a death trap waiting to happen.  Anyone who disagrees can call the family of the late IndyCar driver Justin Wilson and ask. To have Armco barriers against earthen embankments in 2016 is criminal. Track President Brandon Igdalsky said:

"“There are only a handful of installers that are certified to do it.  Now that we’re all going to be scrambling to do this, how can people get it done in a timely and organized fashion?  It’s not like they just have SAFER barrier laying out. It’s all custom-built for each location.’’"

I don’t know Brandon, but don’t you think you should at least get on the list and find out?  The “aw, shucks” response won’t cut it when you’re telling a driver’s or spectator’s family that they’re dead.
