Changes Made: Both Turns 1 and 2 and Turns 3 and 4 are protected by 2289 feet sections of SAFER barriers, with an additional 1169 feet along the outside front straightaway.  The slightly-curved back straightaway is not protected.

Comment: Before someone tests it, the back straightaway should be covered with SAFER barriers. This track gets added visibility each year because it kicks off the Chase. It should be worthy of such a designation. Otherwise, Road America isn’t that far away and the weather there in mid-September is spectacular!
