NASCAR: 10 Drivers That Need To Improve In 2016
No. 2 – Kyle Larson
The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year had a really good season in his sophomore year, where many second year racers experienced a severe slump and faltered, Kyle Larson was pretty consistent and even had chances to win throughout the year. Although he missed the Chase in 2014 as a rookie and managed to finish 17th, 2015 was not that much different, even though he missed race 6 at Martinsville due to a health issue, he rebounded rather well to finish 19th in points. Larson was the talk of the Chase as someone who might race his way in and he was poised to do that until he had a 41st place finish at Bristol and all but eliminated him from contention. He made this list because his overall number of top 5’s he recorded in 2015 fell. His average finish also was lower (19.3) than his rookie season, but he will be a bright light this season if he can manage his equipment better and finish as well as he did in his rookie season.
