No. 8  – Casey Mears

Since breaking onto the NASCAR scene in 2003, Casey Mears has only scored one (1) win, 13 Top 5’s, and 3 poles. He is coming off one of the poorest seasons in his 13 year career. The good news is that Mears is looking to rebound, or he could find himself out of a ride with the new crop of drivers coming out of the NASCAR XFINITY series bred to be champions and racers that are predicted to be future champions in their own rights. Casey Mears hasn’t scored a win in 8 seasons. Another Mears fact is that he finished 2015 on the lead lap just 14 times and saw his average finish statistic take another shot as he averaged a measly 23.1 rating. Mears is a good driver, he just needs to find himself in better positions to finish consistently on an every week basis. Of course, Mears is a consistent option and him without a ride after 2016 is a crazy thought.
