No. 6  – Trevor Bayne

Remember that very impressive 2011 Daytona 500 win? Well, Bayne remembers that too because that is his only career win in the Sprint Cup series. He worked with the Wood Brothers team and their organization on a part-time basis running 57 races, scoring one win, one top 5, and three top tens with the Wood Brothers, he signed with Roush-Fenway Racing full time this past season and only managed two top 10’s at Michigan and Daytona’s July race both of which were 9th place finishes. Add to the fact that he only managed an average qualifying position of 27.9 and a finish average of 25.8. Minus the two top ten’s in the middle of the season, Bayne was unimpressive in his first full season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series as a driver. Although he is a Daytona 500 winner he needs to pull together a better season so that his one race win isn’t considered a fluke. Now that he has more experience behind the wheel of a Sprint Cup car, Bayne should find himself running better, especially since Bob Osborne is his new crew chief and was the man behind 18 wins with Carl Edwards in previous years.
