NASCAR: 10 Drivers That Need To Improve In 2016
No. 3 – David Gilliland
At 39 years old Gilliland’s prime years are ahead of him as a veteran driver, he is a very consistent racer in his own right. Since landing his ride with Front Row Motorsports, he has been a Cinderella story at every restrictor plate race, unfortunately he declined in 2015 and only managed the highest finish of his season at 11th in the season opening Daytona 500. He tumbled down the standings to a dismal 32nd and a poor 29.4 average finish for the season. There is a bright spot for Front Row Motorsports, the addition of the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity champion in the #34 car and an enhanced technical alliance with Roush Fenway Racing along with full engineering and pit support should prove to be beneficial for Gilliland and his team this upcoming season.
