No. 5 Chevrolet: Kasey Kahne

Kasey Kahne is hoping that 2016 can finally be his breakout year at Hendrick Motorsports. While he has enjoyed moderate success in the No. 5 Chevrolet, Kahne has not been the perennial championship contender that both he and Hendrick have been hoping for. Kahne has earned 5 victories since joining HMS in 2012, and will be looking to build on that total in the upcoming season.  The familiar Farmers Insurance colors will return to the No. 5 team, but a host of new minor sponsorship additions have been made to fill the schedule. Farmers will sponsor the No. 5 car for 12 races in 2016, and returning for 10 races and 3 races are Great Clips and Liftmaster, respectively. The new sponsors coming on board to fill the schedule for Kahne are Quicken Loans (3 races), Panasonic Toughbook (2 races), Mountain Dew (1 race), and Hendrick Automotive Group (1 race). That still leaves a few races to be filled for Kahne’s Chevrolet, perhaps by recent sponsors TWC or HendrickCars.com, or maybe another small sponsorship. Here’s a look at some of Kasey Kahne’s colors in 2016:
