NASCAR: Sprint Cup Pre-Season Power Rankings

Each Tuesday, BeyondTheFlag.com will present our weekly Power Rankings of the top 15 drivers in the Sprint Cup series. The greatest weight will be given to the driver’s most recent race finish, and season-to-date performance will play a smaller role. Consideration will also be given for extenuating circumstances such as dominating an event only to miss a strong finish due to circumstances not entirely within their control, such as an accident or mechanical failure late in the race. Circumstances within their control, such as pit road penalties and driver penalties, will impact the rankings a bit more.
Our initial installment will be a pre-season ranking largely derived from 2015 performances (i.e. Chase competitors,) and will take into consideration off-season happenings.
