In a thrilling finish, CBS turns the play-by-play calling to Ned Jarrett on the final lap. Ned is obviously rooting for his son Dale and says, “Pull her to the inside Dale, don’t let him get under you!” As well as, “It’s the Dale and Dale show off turn three”. It was one of the coolest showings of raw emotion ever. “He’s gonna make it, Dale Jarrett’s gonna win the Daytona 500! Oh and look at Martha!” One of my favorite calls all time even though I wasn’t even born.
