Atlanta Motor Speedway might be home to some of the fastest and most exciting racing in NASCAR history, but the 56-year-old track has quite the pop culture resume as well. In fact, the opening scenes of the movie, Smokey and The Bandit two, was filmed at the historic racing facility. The track also was used for scenes from the 1983 film, Stroke Ace as well.

Beyond movies, Atlanta Motor Speedway also used to employee someone who would go on to become The President of The United States. Jimmy Carter used to work as a ticket taker at the 1.5 mile speedway and would later go on to attend NASCAR races at The Governor of The State of Georgia and The President of The United States.
