15. 2012 MBNA 400 at Dover: Stewart Battles Back at the Monster Mile

What’s more exciting than watching Tony Stewart chase another driver down for his first win in over a year? Honestly, nothing and Tony Stewart proved just that when he battled with Juan Pablo Montoya in the closing laps of The MBNA 400 and ultimately came away with the checkered flag.

Not only was it exciting to see Stewart use the high line of the track to take the lead away from Juan Pablo Montoya in the closing laps of the race, but it was also emotionally gratifying to see Stewart finally get a big win after struggling throughout the first part of the season. While it probably wasn’t the most exciting race in the sports history, the implications of the win for Stewart and the side by side racing in the closing laps are enough to give it a spot on this list.
