10. 2015 Fall Martinsville Race: A swan song like no other

With retirement looming in the distance and only a handful of chances left to cement himself a spot in the Chase, Jeff Gordon proved that he still had what it took to compete for a win and took the checkered flag in fall Martinsville race.

Although Matt Kenseth should be credited with the assist, especially since he took out race leader, Joey Logano half way through the race, it was still an amazing moment for NASCAR fans to see Gordon trade a little paint with Jamie McMurray before ultimately winning the final race of his storied Sprint Cup career.

The moment was made even more special when Gordon got out of his car at the start finish line, stood up on top of it and greeted the fans in the stands at Martinsville. The crowd continued to cheer on the four-time champion as he celebrated the win with his team.  While it may not have been a close finish, or featured a last-lap crash that bunched up the field, this finish was still something that race fans will remember for a very long time.
