9. 2000 Pocono Raceway: Intimidator gets intimidated
This probably wasn’t a good day for fans of Dale Earnhardt SR, but it was exciting to watch nonetheless. Dale Earnhardt was leading the race with only three laps to go, but Jeremy Mayfield was still desperately trying to catch up and play spoiler to Earnhardt’s day.
Despite commentators and fans thinking Earnhardt had the race locked up, Mayfield was able to get a run get to Earnhardt’s bumper with only one lap remaining and bump The Man in Black out of the way for the win. What makes this moment even more special, is the fact that Mayfield used Dale Earnhardt’s bump and run move against him to get the win that day.
